What People Are Saying about our PDC:

“...Our instructors, Jessica and Todd, packed every class with practical information and inspiring examples of how to put the principles of permaculture into action, using a curriculum grounded in respect for Indigenous peoples and traditional ecological knowledge…South Shore Permaculture's mix of online and in-person learning made it accessible and fun. I highly recommend SSP to everyone who is interested in building new skills and meaningful connections to support a more resilient future for themselves and their community. The knowledge, resources, guidance, and support I received have been invaluable and well worth the investment of time and tuition.”

— Mary Ann Ormond, 2024 PDC Alumna

Here at South Shore Permaculture, our team of expert educators are eager to share their knowledge and skills. Our goal is to develop the next generation of land stewards & community caretakers who will create a more hopeful future.

The Team

Land Acknowledgment

At South Shore Permaculture, we humbly acknowledge that we live, work, and gather on the traditional and unceded lands of the Wôpanâak (Wampanoag) people. For thousands of years, the Wampanoag and their ancestors have stewarded these lands, waters, and ecosystems with care, resilience, and deep reciprocity.

We honor their enduring connection to this place and their profound ecological knowledge, which inspire and guide our permaculture practices today. We also recognize the ongoing harm caused by colonization and its lasting impacts on Indigenous communities.

In the spirit of permaculture, which emphasizes relationships, regeneration, and repair, we are committed to learning from and supporting the sovereignty, culture, and well-being of Indigenous peoples. We invite our community to join us in building a more just and sustainable future, one rooted in respect for all beings and the land that sustains us.
