Meet the Team

  • Jessica Fox

    PRIMARY STEWARD

Over the past two decades, Jessica has had an array of diverse experiences, blending her roles as a farmer, restaurant manager, private chef, and homesteader. With a Bachelor's in Cultural Anthropology, a Master's in Gastronomy, a yoga teacher certification, and a Permaculture Design Certification, Jessica brings a unique and multifaceted perspective to all she does.

As a co-founder and the primary steward of South Shore Permaculture, Jessica is dedicated to land restoration, holistic health, and fostering vibrant community connections. Whether she’s tending her garden, experimenting in her kitchen, or guiding workshops, Jessica is fueled by a deep respect for nature and a commitment to living in harmony with the earth.

Through her work, Jessica inspires others to embrace sustainability, nurture meaningful relationships, and build resilient, interconnected communities.

  • Todd Breitenstein

    LAND HEALER

Known as The Grateful Gardener, Todd has been cultivating his passion for plants and the planet since he was a toddler in his family garden. Todd founded The Grateful Garden, a sustainable garden center with the tagline “We Grow Vegetable Gardeners," where he nurtured plants and the community.

Todd’s formal training includes Environmental Policy, Ecological Restoration, Conservation, Permaculture Design, and Organic Land Care. He has grown everything from moss to sea kale, with a deep love for native plants.

If you spot someone off the beaten path in the woods, turning over logs to smell the Earth, it’s probably Todd. A tree hugger through and through, he is dedicated to teaching natural gardening, land healing, and ecological restoration. His calling is to inspire others to harmonize with nature and cultivate a deeper connection to the Earth.

  • Brett Sovick

    REGENERATIVE FARMER

After 25 years as a geospatial information scientist and consultant, Brett was inspired to become a farmer. For 15 years, he’s been studying regenerative farming, from raising chickens to growing produce to silvopasture practices.

As a model for local municipalities, Brett is interested in testing the boundaries of small scale regenerative farming with maximum production. He recently earned his permaculture certification and has been awarded a lease from the town of Duxbury to restore the historic DeLorenzo Farm.

Brett is currently working with several surrounding towns to develop community farms using regenerative practices through a permaculture lens.
