Workshop Activities**

1. Crafting with Hilary
Certified Herbalist and Nature Educator, Hilary Adler, will lead an imaginative bug-themed story session. She’ll then guide participants in creating their very own shoebox bug hotel using upcycled materials. Each child will leave with their bug hotel, ready to welcome beneficial insects into their backyard!

2. Guided Walk with Blake
Join Blake Dinius, an Entomologist, Educator, and Naturalist, for a guided insect walk through the Center Hill Preserve. Kids will get active and have some hands-on experiences identifying bugs native to Southeastern Massachusetts, discovering the incredible diversity and importance of insect life all around us!

3. Yoga with Jessica
End the morning on a peaceful note with some insect-inspired yoga led by Jessica Fox, a Permaculture Educator and Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT). Through playful poses and games like “Bumblebee Breathe,” kids will stretch, move, and center themselves while connecting with the environment around them!

**Our activities may differ from this based on the weather, the energy, and the age range of participants. We guarantee that we’ll fill our time with lots of fun and engaging activities!

Additional Notes

  • We will provide an array of insect-inspired snacks, including Cricket Cookies, Bug Juice, and more! Please be sure to include any allergies or dietary restrictions when you register [a form is included in your registration].

  • What to Bring: Please ensure all children come with appropriate outdoor attire (hat, sunscreen, closed-toe shoes, raincoat, etc.), a reusable water bottle, SPF, medications, and anything else that will ensure an enjoyable experience.
