Sustainability Series: December Potluck & Movie Night

December Potluck & Movie Night: Gather
$5.00

Our Sustainability Series offers opportunities to gather with your community on the south shore for an evening to connect with others. We share a meal together and watch an educational, entertaining, insightful movie. This month we watch GATHER, which documents the growing movement among Native Americans to reclaim their spiritual, political and cultural identities through food sovereignty.

“The Red Nation shall rise again and it shall be a blessing for a sick world; a world filled with broken promises, selfishness and separations; a world longing for light again.”

-Crazy Horse

Join South Shore Permaculture and First Parish of Norwell’s Climate Justice Team for community connection, education, and discovery over a shared meal and movie.

Bring your favorite dish to share with the group. We’ll break bread together at our communal table then gather to watch the movie.

We ask for a $5 event fee to go towards the hall rental and additional expenses.

South Shore Permaculture’s Sustainability Series

Our foundation of sustainability, education and community - combined with the 3 permaculture ethics: Earth Care, People Care, Fair Share - led us to create the Sustainability Series.

Each month, we offer either a potluck & movie night or book club meeting where we delve into film and literature that explores the foundations of sustainability, hope & resilience, community, food & culture, justice, and possibility. We hope you can join us at one of our gatherings.

Together we are building community through stories that reconnect us with ourselves, each other, and the living world.
